AS Monaco take on Tottenham Hotspur in a high profile friendly match with the absence of Gareth Bale notable, and a world record transfer to Real Madrid seemingly looms.
Whilst talk of Bale’s future threatens to overshadow proceedings, both Spurs and Monaco have made some intelligent signings in the transfer window already, and the likes of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez will take to the field for the hosts.
For Spurs, Paulinho will likely make his debut, as could Nacer Chadli, and Andre Villas Boas will be intrigued to see how his new players get on against some top quality opposition.
The Portuguese coach will also be keen to show that his side are far from a one man team, but Monaco will also be keen to impress their home fans – meaning this could be a difficult match to call.
Roberto Soldado has not completed his move to White Hart Lane in time to play this match.
