The midfielder has signed a four-year deal in Spain.
Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba has sealed a move to Spain after joining recently promoted La Liga side Elche.
The 19-year-old leaves the Black Satellites, who are reigning Ghana Premier League champions, for a new adventure in Europe after impressing coach Fran Escriba during a two-week trial in Alicante following his involvement in the under-20’s World Cup.
Anaba will move to the Martinez Valero after securing a working visa from the Spanish Embassy in Accra, with the transfer initially held up due the administrative changes at the club after Dr KK Sarpong’s resigned as Asante’s Executive Board chairman.
However, FIFA agent Oliver Arthur confirmed the teenager will be joining The Green-striped ones.
“Mr.Opoku Nti who was interim Management head of the club played a pivotal role in the player signing the deal,” Arthur, who represented Elche, told MTN Football.
“He worked round the clock and the player can now be relieved to continue his career.”
Anaba was part of the Ghana Under-20 side that clinched a bronze medal at the World Youth Championship in Turkey earlier this year and will join Black Stars striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, who is on loan from Italian giants Juventus.
