Joe Root

After his stunning start to the series questions are starting to be asked if Joe Root has the temperate to open the batting alongside his captain.
In both innings in Manchester, Root took an eternity to get off the mark, which can have two affects on the top-order of the Three Lions.
it can place more pressure on not just Cook but Jonathan Trott and Kevin Pietersen after him in the order and it can give the Australian bowlers a chance to bowl to their set plans.
While he is seen as the future of the top-order England line-up, Root will not be dropped anytime soon, especially as part of a winning team, but he will need to make quicker starts to his innings at Durham.
