With just a series average of 17, Matt Prior cannot claim to be the best wicketkeeper batsman playing in Test cricket.

His worrying lack of form was highlighted by his dismissal for just 30 off 139 balls in England’s first innings on a pitch that looked to have plenty of runs in it.

Prior has not set the world on fire behind the stumps this series, but he will not be dropped any time soon unless his form with the bat takes an even bigger dip.
