Jores Okore set to make Villa Park switch.
Aston Villa are closing in on a deal for FC Nordsjaelland centre-half Jores Okore, according to Danish newspaper Elkstra Bladet.
The Premier League outfit have reportedly be tracking the 20-year-old for some time and will pay around £4m for the defender, whose physical attributes make him a perfect fit for the Premier League.
Okore is expected to have medical at Villa Park this week ahead of finalising personal terms and completing his move.
The Dane is currently on international duty and emerged from the bench during Denmark’s embarrassing 4-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Armenia on Tuesday night.
Ivory Coast-born Okore has played over 60 games for Nordsjaelland since making his debut in 2011 and was an integral part of the club’s title-winning squad last season.
Okore will compete with the likes of Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker for a spot in the Villains’ first team next season.
