Frenchman has been in the Midlands for just two years now.
Unwanted Aston Villa midfield player Charles N’Zogbia could make a shock move to big-spending Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The mercurial France international was only a bit-part player under new Villa head coach Paul Lambert at Villa Park last season, making just the 21 Premier League appearances for the top-flight strugglers, while in all competitions the winger featured in only 28 matches, scoring four goals all campaign long in the process.
And with Lambert known to be desperate to offload all the club’s high earners when the transfer window finally reopens for business later this summer, N’Zogbia could be heading to the South of France to join the newly-promoted mega-rich French outfit.
N’Zogbia, 26, has a contract with Villa that runs until the end of June 2016 and it is expected that Monaco may be able to pick the player up for as little as £6 million.
