Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill was perfect in his preseason performance against the Falcons.
The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Miami Dolphins 16-10 in a Friday night preseason game.
Starting QBs Matt Ryan (Atlanta) and Ryan Tannehill (Miami) were both perfect on the day, going a combined 13 for 13. Tannehill’s threw a 6-yard TD to Brandon Gibson, while Ryan’s drive led to a TD run by Jacquizz Rodgers – both came on the team’s first drives.
WR Julio Jones did not play in the game, but Falcons’ all-time leading receiver Roddy White was there and recorded 4 catches (most in the game) for 27 yards. Falcons RB Steven Jackson is out for the preseason with a hamstring injury of his own and was replaced by Rodgers and Devonta Freeman.
For the Dolphins, the team was without free agent pickup Knowshon Moreno, who was only recently activated from the PUP list, and also missed Mike Wallace, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury. Lamar Miller replaced Moreno and had four carries for 11 yards and two catches for 8 yards.
