The Atlanta Falcons will face the Tennessee Titans Saturday as they seek to recover from a humiliating loss to the Houston Texans.
The Atlanta Falcons were humiliated 32-7 by the Houston Texans last week, and they will look to save face as they take on the Tennessee Titans Saturday.
The Falcons produced underwhelming play at quarterback, including starter Matt Ryan. He threw for 37 yards on 3-for-7 passing as T.J. Yates did nothing to assure Falcons fans he can be a reliable backup by throwing for 63 yards and two interceptions on 4-for-11 passing.
Despite the poor quarterback play, rookie running back Devonta Freeman continued to impress with 31 yards on six carries.
The Titans looked great on offense but still lost to the New Orleans Saints, 31-24. Quarterbacks Jake Locker and Zach Mettenberger both performed excellently.
Locker made the start and threw for 75 yards and a touchdown on 8-for-11 passing. Mettenberger threw for 269 yards on 20-for-25 passing with two touchdowns and an interception.
Shonn Greene led the running backs with 46 yards on nine carries but lost a fumble. Rookie Bishop Sankey also lost a fumble but rushed for 31 yards on six carries.
Wide receiver Justin Hunter continued to steal the show with four catches, 111 yards and two touchdowns. He still appears primed for a breakout season in his second year in the NFL.
