The No.1 seed in the Eastern Conference have successfully built on their success through the regular season to now move past both the Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards.
It all looked a little bit tricky for coach Mike Budenholzer at one stage with his side 2-1 down to the Wizards, but they managed to win three straight games to advance at their expense.
Meanwhile, the Cavs swept the Boston Celtics in the opening round before crossing paths with the Chicago Bulls again in the semi-finals.
David Blatt’s men also fell 2-1 down and were on the brink of sinking into an even bigger hole. However, LeBron James stepped up when his team needed him and delivered the performances required of him.
As a result, Cleveland now head to the Eastern Conference Finals with their two-time NBA champion reaching this stage for the fifth straight year.
The schedule is now set for the two rivals as they look to take the next step and make it through to the NBA Finals where either the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers or Houston Rockets will be waiting.
