Torres still on the Simeone radar.

Atletico Madrid are still on the trail of former striker Fernando Torres from Chelsea, report the Metro, with the experienced forward reportedly concerned about the amount of playing time that he is likely to receive at Stamford Bridge next season.
The former Liverpool striker has struggled for form since joining Chelsea, a pattern that has continued during the club’s pre-season tour of Europe, and he may feel that a return to the club which he supports and where he began his career may revitalise a flagging career.
Torres’ concerns over playing time had arisen from the return of club legend Didier Drogba to the club on a free transfer, but this may be somewhat placated by the news that the Ivorian may miss the opening months of the season with an ankle injury sustained in the pre-season friendly victory over Ferencvaros.
Atletico have been keen on bringing Torres back to the Vicente Calderon as a replacement for powerful centre forward Diego Costa – who was signed by Chelsea this summer.
