Atletico rival Inter for signing of Mexican international.Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in rivaling Inter Milan for the signing of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to the Daily Express.
The Spanish champions are in the market for new signings upfront this summer after the blow of losing star striker Diego Costa in a £32m move to Chelsea, though they have already moved to bring in Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich.
Still, Atletico manager Diego Simeone is seemingly a fan of Hernandez, who has shown himself to be a reliable goal-poacher throughout his career so far, despite struggling for form in his last couple of seasons at Old Trafford.
Having fallen behind in the pecking order at the club, it seems likely that the Mexican international will be allowed to leave this summer, with Inter Milan the other main contender to sign him in this transfer window.
It has previously been suggested that United’s interest in Atletico defender Miranda could pave way for a swap deal between the two clubs.
