Manchester United rumours
The Argentine centre-back has enjoyed a strong season in La Liga this term, with United said to have come to a personal agreement with the player earlier this week, the Daily Star claims.
However, Atletico are now said to be showing a strong interest in the 27-year-old as well, with Diego Simeone supposedly on the lookout for new additions to his defence for next season.
With Miranda losing his place in Simeone’s side this season, it may be that Otamendi has been identified as a replacement for the Brazilian, who suffered a dip in form earlier this term after proving one of the team’s most important players as they won La Liga and reached the Champions League final in 2013/14.
United are also being linked with a number of players in defence, with the Daily Mail claiming Mats Hummels is another stopper on their radar.
