Thibaut Courtois may have returned to Chelsea after his loan spell at Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish side are unwilling to give up on the pursuit of the Belgian goalkeeper according to talkSPORT.
Atletico think the world of the Belgian goalkeeper, who was spent the last three seasons on loan at the club after initially signing for Chelsea from Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2011.
The stopper was in fine form as Atletico won their first La Liga title for two decades and also in their run to the Champions League final, including an excellent display as his side adopted side dumped his parent club out of the competition.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho has a conundrum to solve with regards to his goalkeeper as Petr Cech remains one of the world’s most impressive – but Courtois is starting to get unsettled about his situation at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are set to confirm a big-money deal for Atletico striker Diego Costa, whilst a further two players are expected to follow him to London in the form of left back Filipe Luis and former Blues midfielder Tiago, but could Courtois be heading in the opposite direction on a more permanent basis?
