While the Blues were busy pulling ‘The Great Pedro Robbery,’ their La Liga rivals pulled a transfer heist of their own.
‘You can’t have everything’ is a lesson Jose Mourinho and Chelsea may have learned the hard way as Galatasaray defender Alex Telles appears to be slipping away from them.
According to the Metro, Alex Telles has become a prime target for Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez, who has Telles as his new No. 1 after bringing Matteo Darmian into the fold.
Alex Telles has been a key contributor to Galatasaray’s recent dominance since he joined the club on a €6 million transfer out of Gremio two years ago. Last season the club finished with a Super Lig title, Super Kupa title and Turkiye Kupasi – their first Triple since 2000.
The report comes just hours after it was revealed that Chelsea had pulled off one of the biggest transfer hijackings of the season, pulling the wool over Man United to secure a transfer for Barcelona superstar Pedro. The 28-year-old winger/forward is expected to sign soon.
