French Ligue-1 giants PSG are currently leading Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United in the chase for 23-year old Real Sociedad forward Antoine Griezmann, reports the Daily Star.
Griezmann is one of PSG’s long term targets, and the versatile forward, who prefers to play on the wing, wants to play for a Champions League outfit next season.
Griezmann was also recently handed his first French national team cap, and is also a prime target for top English clubs. North Londoners Arsenal, in particular, want a player like Griezmann, who can give them more options up front, and PSG’s advances towards the Sociedad star come as a huge blow to them.
Griezmann scored 20 times last term for the Spanish side, and is rated at £25 million pounds, which is a fee that Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger is willing to pay for the highly rated youngster. Liverpool and Manchester United meanwhile, are also scouting the forward with a view of signing him as a backup frontman for their already strong forward lines.
