Mario Balotelli will go down in history as one of the worst signings ever made by Liverpool FC.
The outrageous Italian joined the Reds for £16m from AC Milan in August 2014, before leaving on a free two years and 16 Premier League appearances later.
Balotelli scored just once during those 16 outings, but it will forever be his off-the-field escapades that he will be remembered for.
He was a big mistake a total flop in the eyes of most Liverpool fans, but Balotelli isn’t having that, not one bit.
After signing for Nice, he told the French press: “I think that my career is different from what has been written.
“For me there is no risk, it’s just that I have been hampered by physical problems over the past two years. My priority is to play, that’s why I chose the Nice project. To be happy, I need to play.
“The decision was only a sporting one. It was best for me. Other teams wanted me but Nice is a good project. The coach believes in me and that’s why I’m here.”
Balotelli will play in the Europa League for Nice this season.
