Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh asserted after the team’s playoff win over the Steelers that Joe Flacco is the best QB in football.
“Joe Flacco, what can you say?” Harbaugh said after their 30-17 road win over the Steelers in the AFC Wildcard game. “I think he had a perfect quarterback rating there in the third quarter. That’s playoff football. That’s Joe Flacco. He is the best quarterback in football. We will take him any day of the week. Twice on Sunday or Saturday night, if that be the case.”
Harbaugh’s admiration of Flacco is well-deserved. Since the two of them joined the Ravens in 2008 they have gone 72-40 in the regular season, played in three AFC Championship games and won Superbowl XLVII.
Flacco is now 10-4 in the postseason with 22 touchdowns and eight INTs, and has completed more than 55 percent of his passes. Over his last nine postseason appearances, Flacco has just two INTs.
“He’s just Cool Joe,” Ravens LB Terrell Suggs said. “The situation may change but we don’t. Joe doesn’t change. That’s his game.”
