It all started when Ray Rice was discovered to have punched his wife in an elevator, and he was released by the team. This cleared the way for Forsett and Bernard Pierce to prove themselves as worthy successors.
The Ravens’ rushing offense didn’t miss a beat as Forsett rushed for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns.
They rewarded him with a three-year, $9 million contract as a result, which will be a bargain if they can receive similar production from Forsett again.
NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport revealed that the Ravens brought back Forsett on Twitter.
