Barcelona have no intentions of letting Neymar go anytime soon.
With intense interest from Man United in superstar forward/winger Neymar, Barcelona have wrapped up a massive contract for the young star to keep him from being transferred.
According to the Telegraph, Barcelona have agreed to a £150 million deal with the 23-year-old Brazilian Neymar that will pay him £500,000 per week over the next six years.
The deal no doubt comes as a major blow to Man United, who had been seeking a potential world-record breaking transfer bid for Neymar prior to the end of the summer transfer period.
In his first two seasons with Barcelona since a €57.1 million transfer out of Santos, Neymar has scored 31 La Liga goals and an additional 14 goals in the Champions League. Last season he finished tied for the most Champions League goals with 10 – tying Ronaldo and teammate Lionel Messi.
Neymar’s release clause is believed to be an other-worldly €190 million – a mark Man United were reportedly willing to match.
