Manchester United seem poised to sign Pedro for £22m, but Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov has warned the Spanish winger against leaving the Camp Nou for the Red Devils.
Stoichkov launched a scathing attack on United manager Louis van Gaal, claiming that the Dutchman “destroyed” Barca and that he is doing the same to the team Old Trafford.
“I would never be under the orders of Van Gaal,” Stoichkov told Onda Cero. “He’s mediocre. He destroyed Barca and is destroying Man Utd.
“With what he has done to goalkeeper [Victor] Valdes he has shown he is a bad person. Hopefully Pedro listens to me and doesn’t leave.”

Stoichkov scored 162 in 336 games for Barca in two spells – 1990 to 1995 and 1996 to 1998.
Van Gaal also had two stints at the Camp Nou – 1997-2000 and 2002 to 2003.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with Pedro this summer.
