After a shaky start to life in the Premier League, Herrera has found himself in a rich vein of form lately, and is unsurprisingly attracting some significant interest from clubs back in his native Spain.
Barca are on the look out for some new faces to bring into their midfield as the changing of the guard from the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta is set to be implemented as they advance in age.
Herrera has so far bagged five goals in 19 appearances for the Red Devils so far this term, and though Barcelona aren’t looking to make an immediate move for the 25-year-old, they are keeping tabs on him to see how he develops over the next season or two.
