Martino oversees a vital victory at the Bernabeu.
It was the second El Clasico of the season as Barcelona desperately needed a win against fierce rivals Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Thanks to a hat-trick from Lionel Messi and a brilliant opening strike from Andres Iniesta that is exactly what happened as the visitors ran out 3-4 winners.
Here is how the Catalans rated in the Spanish capital:
Victor Valdes – 7
Perhaps could have done better with Karim Benzema’s opening goal, but after that the goalkeeper made some crucial saves that kept Barca in the game.
Dani Alves – 5
Positionally the right-back was all over the place as time after time Angel Di Maria broke past the Brazilian and put in two crosses that resulted in goals.
Gerard Pique – 6
Is relied upon too much in defence and needs a better partner at the back, but as always was on hand to help out which included clearing a shot from Benzema off the line.
Javier Mascherano – 5
Does not look like a central defender most of the time and when Madrid got back into the match after Iniesta’s opener the Argentine international was all over the place.
Jordi Alba – 6
Defensively looked a little shaky but after the sending off for Ramos was up and down the left flank constantly to support the attack.
