Bartomeu, who was quoted by Goal.com, said after the game: “We have the best attack in the world.”We demonstrated that again in this game. We have a very powerful attack.”
The president also spoke out in defence of leading scorer Lionel Messi, who he believes plays for the team rather than for his own statistics, despite scoring 31 goals in 31 games for club and country this term.
“Messi plays for the team, he doesn’t look at statistics or goals,” he added. “We are improving in the second half of the season and we are growing in confidence at an important part of the campaign.”
