Spanish ace unable to settle after two years in Serie A.
Ajax have announced that Barcelona striker Bojan has joined the club in an initial loan deal, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Spaniard has spent the last two seasons in Serie A, where he has appeared for both Roma and AC Milan but has been unable to settle.
After a strong start to the campaign at San Siro, the 22-year-old’s contribution began to diminish and as a result the Rossoneri decided against turning his loan move into a permanent deal.
Nevertheless, despite the disappointment of not being able to reach the level he once showed at the Catalan club, Bojan has sealed another big move as he will join Ajax for pre-season training at some stage in the forthcoming weeks.
Coach Frank de Boer will be looking to continue his successful reign next season, and hopes that Bojan can play a key role in his squad as they look for further domestic glory as well as making an impact in Europe.
The striker has signed a one year loan deal with an option for a second, but will be desperate to impress for his latest club as he looks to establish himself again.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani appeared certain that they would activate a clause in his contract that would see him move to Milan permanently, but a lack of form has seen that opportunity pass Bojan by.
However, the Spanish starlet has another great opportunity ahead of him, and will hope to take full advantage of it in the Dutch capital next season.
