After receiving offers from just about every major football contender around the world, Juventus has reportedly accepted a £64 million offer for superstar Paul Pogba from Barcelona.
According to the Express, the La Liga and Champions League champions will pay approximately £57 million for the 22-year-old midfielder with another £7 million in add-ons. A former member of Man United during a very short stint in the Premier League, Pogba joined Juventus in 2012 and promptly became a midfield ace that that helped the team win three straight Serie A championships. Considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, Pogba even helped Juventus make it all the way to the Champions League final, where they lost to Barcelona.
Pogba had been a hot target for Chelsea and Man City, both of whom were recently making incredible for the former U-20 Golden Ball recipient (an award also shared by scoring sensations Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi). The Express reported that Chelsea were willing to offer Oscar plus £35 million in straight cash, while Man City were willing to offer as much as £71 million (€100 million) to bring in the French star.
