The long-serving club captain has publicly announced that he will be leaving the Catalans this summer, but with no chance of buying a replacement the club may have to convince Puyol to stay.

Many thought the veteran centre-back would head to MLS and whilst the 35-year-old has missed much of this term anyway, support for Gerard Pique, Marc Bartra and Javier Mascherano will be needed.
