Manchester City Boss Manuel Pellegrini Refuses To Give Up On Premier League Title Race
City damaged their title hopes with defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, and are currently facing an uphill struggle to overturn their 2-1 defect against a resurgent Barcelona in the Champions League.
Failure to overturn that scoreline against the Catalans could result in the Chilean kissing his job goodbye.
Guardiola is famous for not wanting to commit his longterm future to clubs, and with rumours going around of a clash between himself and sporting director Matthias Sammer, a swift exit from the Bundesliga giants could be on the cards.
The former Barca boss is said to be keen on plying his trade in the Premier League, and the current situation regarding Pellegrini’s position could work in everyone’s favour to get the deal done.
