City defender Kolarov is wanted by Bayern.
Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov is attracting interest from German giants Bayern Munich, reports the Daily Mail.
The 28-year old Serbian is already a hot transfer target for Italian clubs AS Roma and Juventus and Bayern’s interest in the defender could put more pressure on City to sell.
Although Kolarov was not a regular under previous Citizens boss Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini values the former Lazio man very highly and wants to keep him as his first choice left-back.
The presence of French defender Gael Clichy in the City ranks though meant that Kolarov had to share some of the left-back responsibilities with the former Arsenal man last season, and he now wants a bigger playing role – even if it means that he will have to move away from the Etihad Stadium.
It will be interesting to see whether any of the potential suitors for the Serbia international make an official offer for him though, given that Pellegrini is known to be a manager who wants to keep his squad together for as long as possible.
