Brazil international says Gunners ‘have a lot of tradition’.
Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo says he is assessing his options but has admitted an interest in joining Arsenal.
The Gunners have reportedly had a £17.2m bid for the 26-year-old Brazilian accepted by Bayern but the German club have confirmed that “Luiz has offers from England, Spain, Russia and Germany” before adding “the player has not made a decision, yet”.
Speaking to ESPN ahead of Brazil’s friendly with Switzerland in Basle on Wednesday, Gustavo said: “I’m assessing the best option. It’s a delicate situation. I’ll go somewhere where I’ll play.”
Napoli have reportedly entered the race for the player, who is surplus to requirements at the Allianz Arena following the arrival of Thiago Alcantara this summer.
The Serie A outfit beat the Gunners to the signing of Gonzalo Higuain earlier this summer but Gustavo has admitted he is interest in the Premier League and Arsenal.
“The Premier League is a great competition. Arsenal have a lot of tradition. I need a team that has a space for me to play in,” he added.
