Ramos has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford over recent weeks, however, Daily Express [via El Confidencial] reports Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is keen to lure the Spanish international to the Allianz Arena.
The report suggests Real Madrid are unwilling to match Ramos’ £7m-a-year wage demands, and it is believed Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to splash the cash on the £63.7m-rated 29-year-old.
According to reports, he won’t have it all his own way, with Bayern Munich keen to snare the signature of Ramos from right under the noses of the Premier League giants.
It is believed Bayern bosses have requested a meeting with Real Madrid in an attempt to smash out a deal.
Should United miss out on Ramos, Van Gaal is expected to put his full attention into signing Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
According to Daily Star, the Red Devils are closing in on a deal for the £36m-rated Argetine international.
