Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm admits there are no guarantees Thomas Muller will remain with the Bavarian giants this season and could move to Manchester United this summer.
Muller has been heavily linked with a mega-money move to Old Trafford in recent days, and Lahm says there is every possibility that the German international may follow Bastian Schweinsteiger to the Premier League.
It’s not my decision,” Lahm is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard.
“Things can happen very quickly in football.
“I certainly can’t provide any guarantee for Thomas Muller (staying).”
Long-serving Bayern midfielder Schweinsteiger made the switch the United last week, and Metro on Tuesday reported that the Red Devils were continuing its raid on the Bundesliga giants with a £69.6m bid for the 25-year-old.
United manager Louis van Gaal is looking to bolster his forward stocks following the departures of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie and has recently been linked with a move for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.
