Arsenal have it all to do in their Champions League last-16 tie with Bayern Munich with a 2-0 deficit from the first-leg to overturn in Germany.
Goals from Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller gave the reigning champions the advantage at the Emirates Stadium three weeks ago and it looks as if the Bundesliga holders are heading through to the quarter-finals.
The Gunners will have to do it without many of the first team members as well, with Kieran Gibbs (ankle), Yaya Sanogo (foot), Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Kim Kallstrom (back), Nacho Monreal (ankle) and Jack Wilshere (foot) all out.
Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby are also long-term absentees.
There is some good news in that Laurent Koscielny is likely to have recovered enough from a hamstring problem to play, meaning that club captain Thomas Vermaelen will be required to fill in at left-back with the absence of both Gibbs and Monreal.
Bayern on the other hand have a fully fit squad at their disposal, with Ballon d’Or nominee Franck Ribery back in contention after playing in the 6-1 victory over Wolfsburg at the weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s side did manage to win 2-0 at the Allianz Arena at the same stage of this competition last season, but were eliminated on away goals.
The Frenchman will be hoping his north London side can repeat a similar feat against the treble winners this time around, despite the fact they are arguably stronger under Pep Guardiola than they were 12 months ago.
