Benfica hoping to take Lazar Markovic back on loan.

Despite a handful of promising recent performances that were able to showcase the pace and creativity that is possessed by Markovic, he has started just four of the club’s eighteen Premier League games so far this season – showing that manager Brendan Rodgers may well still view him as one for the future.
Benfica are continuing to dominate Portuguese football under the stewardship of their experienced manager Jorge Jesus, with a recent win at fierce rivals FC Porto giving them a commanding lead in the title race even at this early stage.
