Arsenal have been looking to upgrade their striking options for a long time, and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has been one of their prime targets.
According to The Metro, the Gunners still have a chance at landing the French international since Real Madrid are pursuing Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Arsenal have been linked to a bid worth close to £50m for Benzema, but the Real Madrid striker has given no hints that he intends to leave the Bernabeu.
However, they will receive a major boost as the PSG striker figures to be a viable replacement if Benzema does indeed leave.

The PSG striker scored 30 goals in 35 appearances last season, and he has been a scoring ace throughout his career as he has notched 340 goals in 16 years.
Benzema would provide a major boost to Arsenal’s scoring attack and instantly make them an even bigger title contender.
The Gunners are still looking for a solution outside of Alexis Sanchez, who has not shown his full potential so far this season.
Benzema scored 22 goals in 46 appearances for Real Madrid last season, and he has come up with at least 20 in each of his last five seasons.
