The report suggests that this is due to Chelsea striking a strategic partnership with Besiktas, much like the one that they have with Vitesse Arnhema in the Eredivisie, which would make Istanbul a genuine potential destination for a goalkeeper still on the top of his game.
Cech only lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s team this summer due to the return of Belgium international Thibaut Courtois from his three years on loan at Atletico Madrid, with the Czech stopper still believed to be one of the finest in the game.
