Midfielders – Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic
Although Fabregas’s effectiveness in a midfield two has been questioned following his steep dip in form over recent months, the Spaniard and Matic create the perfect FIFA partnership of strength and guile.
Fabregas has an overall rating of 87, with 90 passing, while Matic is rated 84, with physical attributes as high as 88. Ramires (80) is a more than solid deputy, but there is then a big drop to John Obi Mikel (77).
Attacking midfielders – Eden Hazard and Oscar
Hazard, PFA Player of the Year 2014-15, is Chelsea’s highest rated player on the game at 89, and walks into one of the attacking midfield spots, where the competition for places really starts to hot up.
Oscar (84) is deemed a better player than Willian (82) despite Mourinho seeming to have more faith in the latter Brazilian, while £21m signing Pedro (83) shockingly misses out because of the striker ratings.
