Bevan Fransman will take over as captain from Thabo September.
SuperSport United have stated that defender Bevan Fransman has been passed the captain’s armband for the 2013/14 season.
Last term’s skipper, Thabo September, will now take the role of club captain and will play a pivotal role in the development of the youths at Matsatsantsa.
“We have a group of players who need good leadership,” said head coach Cavin Johnson to SuperSport United’s official website.
“However, we will nominate a few players who will do the job for the team.
“This season Bevan Fransman will be our captain and Thabo September will also be the club captain so that he can guide young players like Morne Nel as to how things are done at SuperSport.”
Although Fransman has only appeared 18 times for SuperSport, the 29-year-old is an experienced campaigner and has 19 caps for South Africa.
