The Heat are hard to beat with its strongest side out on the park, but the limited availability of Mitchell Johnson and Shane Watson will surely test the squad’s depth.
Andrew Flintoff and Daniel Vettori will bring people through the gates without doubt, but they are both in their twilight years and it remains to be seen whether they’ll have a genuine impact.
Brisbane will be hoping Ben Cutting repeats his heroics with both the ball and bat in BBL03 that saw him T20 and ODI selection.
It’s difficult to see the Heat repeating their BBL02 win, and they really need the likes of Flintoff, Vettori and Cutting to step up to avoid finishing towards the bottom-end of the table.

LAST THREE SEASONS 5th, 4th (Champions), 5th.
