The Renegades have picked up a couple of handy recruits in Matthew Wade and Callum Ferguson, adding to a solid batting lineup that already includes Aaron Finch, Ben Rohrer, Tom Cooper and Peter Nevill.
The international pairing of Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell will only be available for the opening half of the competition before linking up with the West Indies squad for the World Cup, while destructive Kiwi bastman Jesse Ryder will be available for the second half after missing out on the New Zealand side.
There’s no doubt the Renegades’ batting lineup is strong, but the bowling attack is a tad weak compared to other sides.
The lineup of James Pattinson, Fawad Ahmed, Nathan Rimmington and Dwayne Bravo is talented, but cannot be compared to the top bowling attacks of some of its rivals.
It will be interesting to see how the Renegades deal with the loss of Aaron Finch once he leaves for international duty – it could make or break their season.
