The Scorchers have made it to the final in all three seasons and won the competition last time around, however it looks as though BBL04 will present a much bigger challenge.
They’ll be without the Marsh brothers due to international duty and have lost both Craig Simmons and Simon Katich.
Michael Carberry and Michael Klinger are decent replacements, but you get the feeling the Scorchers may struggle this time around.
Nathan Coulter-Nile heads into the season under a major injury cloud, and it may be that he will miss a majority of the Scorchers games, if not all.
Michael Beer is a fantastic addition to Perth’s stocks in the spin department, and he’ll join Ashton Agar in a battle for Brad Hogg’s spot.
If Perth are to go deep in the competition, they must carryover their home form from last season.
Can Perth go back-to-back? Or will they struggle? Let us know what YOU think in the comments section below!
