4. Marion Jones
Jones was the golden girl of athletics after winning five gold medals at the 2000 Olympics, but later admitted to using drugs.
The American said she was clean during the Sydney Olympics; however, her former husband CJ Hunter told a grand jury that they’d both been using drugs prior to 2000.
3. Ben Johnson
The Canadian trimmed four-tenths of a second off the 100 metre world record at the Seoul Olympics in 1988 and said the time would stand for “50 years, maybe 100”.
Maybe it was his psycho bulging eyes that gave it away, but Johnson tested positive for stanozolol, an anabolic steroid.
He was forced to hand back Canada’s first ever gold medal at the Olympics and went on to serve a two-year ban.
Johnson raced again at Barcelona in 1992 but was banned for life in 1993 after he tested positive again
