1. Loic Remy (Newcastle United – on loan from Queens Park Rangers)
Club goals: 42
Player’s goals: 14
Percentage of club goals scored by player: 33.3%
Loic Remy had a fine season for Newcastle United, but perhaps the fact that a loan player scored a third of the club’s goals this season does not bode brilliantly well for the Magpies’ future – particularly in the advent of Yohan Cabaye’s sale to PSG.
Remy was pictured at Emirates Stadium last weekend, prompting transfer rumours linking the Queens Park Rangers forward to Arsenal, and Newcastle will have to find a way to replace his goalscoring talents next term.
With his parent club QPR unlikely to be able to afford to keep him unless they achieve promotion through the playoffs, Remy is almost certain to be on the market this summer, and if he wants to oust Karim Benzema and indeed current Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud from the France side, he will need to play for a team in Europe.
At 27, this may be his last chance for a big move.
