8. Romelu Lukaku (Everton – on loan from Chelsea)
Club goals: 59
Player’s goals: 14
Percentage of club goals scored by player: 23.7%
There is only one Chelsea striker in this list, and he didn’t start a single Premier League match for the Stamford Bridge side this term, coming on as a substitute in each of the Blues’ first two games.
Romelu Lukaku moved to Everton on loan at the end of the summer transfer window until the end of the season, and immediately proved once again that he was capable of leading the line for a top flight side, having enjoyed similar success at West Bromwich Albion in the previous campaign.
While ineligible to play against his parent club, Lukaku certainly made an impact against Chelsea’s rivals.
The big Belgian scored twice against Liverpool, twice against Manchester City and once against Arsenal, and his combination of pace, power and finishing was instrumental in Everton’s impressive challenge for Europe.
