United to turn to other targets this summer after Guarin snub.
Inter Milan’s 27-year old defensive midfielder Fredy Guarin could snub English giants Manchester United in favour of a move to Italian Champions Juventus, reports the Daily Express.
United’s new boss Louis Van Gaal made Guarin one of his targets this summer after pulling out of the chase for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos, but it seems as though the Dutchman might have to turn to other midfield targets once again.
Guarin has had a topsy-turvy relationship with Inter’s new management under Indonesian owner Erick Thohir, and still has not had his future settled.
Serie A champions Juve were interested in signing the Colombian international this January as part of a swap deal involving Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic, but the move fell through at the last moment, forcing Guarin to extend his stay at the San Siro.
The Red Devils believe that the summer could present another opportunity for them to go after the industrious Guarin, but the English club have La Bianconeri hurdle to overcome.
