Dejan Lovren hands in a transfer request, linked with a move to Liverpool or Tottenham.
Southampton defender Dejan Lovren has submitted a transfer request in a bid to try and force a move to Liverpool.
The Daily Mail are reporting that the Croatian wrote an email to executive director Les Reed and chairman Ralph Krueger on May 30 to inform them of his desire to leave St. Mary’s.
The 24-year-old only joined the Saints last summer after making a £7 million move from Ligue 1 club Lyon, but it now seems he will join the exodus from Southampton which began when manager Mauricio Pochettino joined Tottenham last month.
Liverpool have been rumoured to be interested in the centre-back for months now, but it is understood that there is a possibility that Lovren could follow Pochettino to White Hart Lane.
Lovren is currently in preparations with the Croatia squad for their opening World Cup match with Brazil tonight.
