Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has played down suggestions that Marco Reus could be sold amid interest from the likes of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, the Metro reports.
The German international has been linked with a whole host of top clubs in recent times after establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe at Dortmund.
However, Zorc insists that the 25-year-old is an important part of the club’s future, and that they hope he will stay with them for a long time.
“[We will] definitely try to keep him long term,” he said.
“Marco is not only a hugely important player for us because of his athletic performance, but also in his role as a poster boy.
“He is Dortmund-born and a figurehead for this club.”
