Adrien Broner will reportedly face Shawn Porter on June 20 in Las Vegas in what should be a thrilling encounter at a catchweight of around 145 pounds.

According to the LA Times, the impressive ‘Premier Boxing Champions’ cards continue in June with Robert Guerrero expected to headline a bill at the StubHub center on June 6, although the welterweight showdown later in the month will be the one that catches the most attention.
Broner, a three-division champion, made his debut on PBC back on March 7 with his win over John Molina as he improved his record to 30-1, 22 KOs.
However, he has been left searching for another opponent since with Amir Khan touted as a possible foe although the Brit instead opted to take on Chris Algieri in Brooklyn on May 29.
While that ruled him out of the equation, a meeting with Porter (25-1-1) has also been on the cards for some time, with the American desperate to get himself back in the mix for a world title shot.
‘Showtime’ lost his IBF welterweight title to Kell Brook in California last August, and although he would love a rematch to gain revenge over his conqueror, Brook has been busy planning his own route to the top.
The Sheffield-born fighter takes on Frankie Gavin at the O2 Arena in London on May 30, with promoter Eddie Hearn likely to earn him a shot against Brandon Rios later in the summer.
After that, it remains to be seen where Brook goes as the likes of Juan Manuel Marquez and even Manny Pacquiao have been mentioned, while a domestic showdown with Khan is likely to have to wait until next year.
Nevertheless, Broner’s clash with Porter will certainly be one to watch as it will be a clash of styles with the former bringing his speed and skill up against the power and strength of his fellow American in what promises to deliver value for money and high drama on another big night of boxing in Vegas.
