Broner talks up Khan showdown: ‘The Problem’ wants to fight the Brit next.
Deluded Khan has two options: Khan needs to stop ducking two fights he should have.
Broner successfully defeated John Molina last weekend as he made it three consecutive wins since losing his WBA welterweight title, and the outspoken star is already looking for his next opponent.
The 25-year-old even suggested that he would be ready to fight Khan as early as the end of this month, but it is unlikely that the fight happens, if at all, until May.
Khan has missed out on his ideal bout against Floyd Mayweather, and he will hold on to hope of potentially fighting the winner of his clash with Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
Meanwhile, a domestic showdown with Kell Brook doesn’t look likely to happen this summer, and so he has started the process of finding an opponent elsewhere in the division.
“Would love to fight Adrien Broner next! #KhanvsBroner – let’s make it happen!” he wrote on Twitter.
Khan would certainly go into that fight as the favourite as many believe that he has the hand speed and technical skill to out-box Broner who didn’t look particularly impressive against Molina.
It remains to be seen where the fight would take place, and even though the Brit has made no secret of his desire to fight at Wembley, it is unlikely that Khan vs Broner sells out the stadium and so Las Vegas would arguably make the most sense.
