Amir Khan has seemingly taken a swipe at domestic rival Kell Brook by suggesting that he has taken some sort of banned substance to get in his current condition.

Brook’s stablemate and undefeated super-bantamweight Kid Galahad was given a two-year ban earlier this month after he tested positive for stanozolol.
Although he has filed an appeal, he is currently set to be suspended until September 2016 despite the fact that he contests that his brother, with whom he has a broken relationship, spiked one of his protein drinks.
While it hasn’t been confirmed that Khan was aiming his comment at the pair, it would seem to make the most sense given his on-going rivalry with Brook as the pair continue to exchange words through the media.
Both men were in action over the weekend with Khan defeating Chris Algieri in Brooklyn on Friday night, before Brook defended his IBF welterweight title against Frankie Gavin at the O2 in London on Saturday.
The Sheffield-born fighter insisted after the bout that he was growing bored of hearing about Khan as he doesn’t believe he wants to fight him.
As a result, promoter Eddie Hearn is likely to secure a bout with Brandon Rios later this summer before potentially making another fight later in the year against another top name.
While Khan has received significant criticism for his recent opponents, Brook also needs to take a step up in quality of opposition provided that the pair don’t meet any time soon.
