Khan has no interest in Brook fight: (Video) Khan rules it out entirely.
Khan insists that he is closer than ever before to securing a bout with Floyd Mayweather, with the unbeaten superstar set to enter the ring for the final time on September 12.
Promoter Eddie Hearn and Brook have both insisted that Khan is scared to fight his fellow Brit as he is worried that he may lose, which in turn would scupper his chances of big bouts in the future.
However, the 28-year-old insists that is not the case and while he has no interest in fighting Brook, he believes the Sheffield-born fighter just wants a huge payday by fighting him even though he would lose.
“I know if I got in there with him I would beat him. But why should I give him that opportunity? I’m going to be a c*** about it,” Khan is quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.
“Before it used to annoy me, but now it just satisfies me because I know he needs me more than I need him. He’s dying for it now, it’s not like I’m scared of him.”
Khan went on to add that he is making enough money without his rival, and that he believes he made more money from his fight with Chris Algieri last weekend than Brook has in his last five fights.
However, while he continues to chase the big names in the division, it will continue to leave British fight fans disappointed with his decision not to set up a clash that could fill Wembley Stadium next summer.
Both men have been criticised for the level of opposition that they have fought recently, but it doesn’t appear as though they will be crossing paths anytime soon.
